This position is responsible for the planning, organization, development, implementation and oversight of pastoral and religious care to patients, their relatives, caregivers, and hospital staff. The Clinical Chaplain is responsible for the ongoing assessment of and response to the spiritual, pastoral care and counseling needs of the patients throughout their hospitalization, ensuring any special worship and cultural needs are met. The Clinical Chaplain serves as a consultant to the Ethics Committee. The Chaplain participates in the interdisciplinary team process, serves on hospital wide committees, is a liaison with community leaders, programs and agencies and provides consultation and services that contribute to the vision and mission of Cherry Hospital.
