In crisis situations, the position involves providing support to navigate initial spiritual and emotional issues for patients, families, and co-workers. Furthermore, the individual will contribute to the financial performance of the department by adhering to policies and procedures, working efficiently, and reporting necessary changes. The role also includes covering on-call shifts as assigned and performing other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Meets the spiritual and emotional needs of patients/families through timely assessment, intervention, and communication.
  • Collaborates with co-workers to accomplish departmental goals and offers assistance to balance workload, as measured by employee satisfaction.
  • Responds to physician referrals on the same day they are received to contribute to the satisfaction of the medical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.
  • One year of experience in a related field.
