Furthermore, the individual will contribute to the financial performance of the department by adhering to policies and procedures, working efficiently, and reporting necessary changes. The role also includes covering on-call shifts as assigned and performing other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Meets the spiritual and emotional needs of patients/families through timely assessment, intervention, and communication.
- Collaborates with co-workers to accomplish departmental goals and offers assistance to balance workload, as measured by employee satisfaction.
- Responds to physician referrals on the same day they are received to contribute to the satisfaction of the medical staff.
- Reports all safety/security risks to contribute to a safe environment.
- Intervenes in crisis situations to provide support in navigating initial spiritual and emotional issues for patients, families, and co-workers.
- Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the overall financial performance of the department, working efficiently and reporting needed changes.
- Covers on-call shifts as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.
- One year of experience in a related field.
