About the position

The Charge Master Analyst 1 in Revenue Integrity Management is responsible for maintaining the charge masters within the patient accounting system and third-party CDM tools. This role involves ensuring the integrity of the charge description master, updating it as necessary, and monitoring changes to maintain an accurate audit trail. The analyst will also communicate necessary changes to relevant departments and assist in decision-making regarding charge master updates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Corporate and separate entity charge masters in the patient accounting system and third-party CDM tools.
• Assist in maintaining an audit trail of charge master changes.
• Make informed decisions regarding necessary changes in the charge master and notify affected areas.
• Update and monitor the integrity of the charge description master and ancillary systems.
• Analyze data related to charge master changes.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Hands-on experience with Excel and Access required.

Nice-to-haves

• Specialized training in chargemaster, ICD10, or CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Hospital experience with familiarity in Medicare program regulations for charging and billing.
• Understanding or experience with Soarian Financials.
