About the position

The position is responsible for maintaining the Corporate and separate entity charge masters in the patient accounting system and third-party CDM tools. The role involves updating and monitoring the integrity of the charge description master and ensuring that changes are communicated to the appropriate areas affected. The position requires informed decision-making regarding charge master changes and maintaining an audit trail of these changes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Corporate and separate entity charge masters in the patient accounting system.
  • Assist in maintaining an audit trail of charge master changes.
  • Make informed decisions regarding necessary changes in the charge master.
  • Notify appropriate areas affected by charge master changes.
  • Update and monitor the integrity of the charge description master and ancillary systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience required.
  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel and Access required.
  • Ability to analyze data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Specialized training in chargemaster, ICD10 or CPT/HCPCS coding preferred.
  • Hospital experience with familiarity in Medicare program regulations for charging and billing preferred.
  • Understanding or experience with Soarian Financials is a plus.

  • Competitive pay range of $20.94 - $25.34 per hour depending on experience.
