About the position

The Charge Master Analyst in Revenue Integrity at UCI Health is responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Charge Description Master (CDM) for both hospital and physician services. This role ensures compliance with charging policies and procedures while facilitating projects to enhance accurate charging practices. The analyst serves as a liaison for charge capture development and regulatory guidelines, collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Enterprise Charge Description Master (CDM) for hospital and physician services.
• Ensure compliance and consistency of charging policies and procedures.
• Facilitate projects aimed at redesigning clinical workflows for accurate charging practices.
• Support the integration of third-party tools related to charge capture.
• Act as the primary liaison for charge capture development and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with Clinical Care Partners, Revenue Cycle Associates, and IT Business Analysts.

Requirements

• 3 years experience with CDM management.
• 3 years experience in an academic or large healthcare system.
• 3 years experience as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
• 3 years chargemaster management experience.
• Skill to effectively work with all levels of health system personnel including directors and physicians.
• Skill in ad hoc technical report writing and complex analyses.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry, coding, billing, and revenue management policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated advanced computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Skill to read and correctly interpret governmental and commercial payor regulations.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
• Epic PB Resolute certification.
