About the position

Nuveen has an opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst who has strong Charles River IMS and Asset Management experience. This position will work closely with our business stakeholders, users, and IT to define business workflows, enhance current processes, and support trading and operational functions. This role will require the candidate to have a strong command of Charles River Server and Desktop functionalities while designing solutions. We are seeking an individual who has this experience within a financial services organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of business activities to determine business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand and define needs beyond requirements provided by the business.
  • Provide application and production support for the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS).
  • Configure Manager Workbench, blotters, queries, workflow monitors, amongst other components of CRIMS.
  • Work with traders, risk operations and the CRD development team to build and configure new workflows that meet the needs of the business.
  • Design and document new workflows.
  • Function as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technology organization.
  • Communicate any material modifications of business requirements to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the QA team in developing high level test plans.
  • Review test cases developed by the QA team.
  • Collaborate with the automated testing team for performance/load testing and automated regression testing.
  • Oversee the implementation of custom configurations.
  • Create and maintain proper training materials and business documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of CRIMS experience (v.23R1), specifically in configuration.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the financial services industry, supporting buy-side technology, specifically with equity trading and/or fixed income trading.
  • Possess advanced hands-on SQL skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
  • Experienced communicating with senior level stakeholders such as the Heads of Trading, Portfolio management, Compliance and Operations.
  • Exposure to Compliance, EMS's, Blotter, Tier, and Data Loads.
  • Broad background in Equity and Fixed Income trading including trading systems, execution management systems, order management, etc.
  • Proven ability to efficiently utilize resources and communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make independent decisions.
  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Experience with writing technical requirements.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs and build effective relationships.
