About the position
The Chatbot Developer position is a full-time role based in Philadelphia, PA, requiring three days of onsite work and two days of remote work. The candidate will be expected to have hands-on experience with web services and server-side development. This role involves analyzing business requirements, collaborating with various business teams, and participating in the solution design process. The developer will work extensively with JavaScript, Node.js, and NoSQL databases, contributing to the core development team responsible for creating APIs and components. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in scaling applications and database infrastructure processes. The position also involves partnering with the Kore.ai team to develop new conversational AI virtual assistants across various industry domains. In this role, the developer will work on high-traffic, real-time enterprise applications, utilizing Agile methodologies, design patterns, and software revision control systems. The environment is described as innovative and creative, providing opportunities to gain experience in scaling applications and database infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of enterprise-grade bots using the Microsoft Bot Framework, Dialogflow, Rasa, and Botpress, among other technologies. The role requires a solid understanding of various programming and scripting languages, as well as familiarity with web services and authentication techniques.

Requirements
- 4+ years of solid development experience, particularly on open-source platforms
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience with Microsoft Bot Framework for building enterprise-grade bots
- Familiarity with Dialogflow for natural language understanding
- Experience with Rasa for automated text and voice-based conversations
- Knowledge of Botpress for bot-building with a visual flow editor
- Proficiency in JSON, Redis/MongoDB, and Web Sockets
- Experience in web services using REST and SOAP
- Knowledge of different authentication and authorization techniques
- Strong knowledge of code documentation and handover
- Good knowledge of Python, AI, NLP, ML, and Gen AI, with experience in chatbots being an added advantage
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with git version control system
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix flavors
