About the position

The Checkmarx Application Support Engineer role is a long-term contract position within a well-known financial services company. The engineer will work on Information Security Engineering initiatives, providing technical support for the Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platforms, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the security and integrity of applications. This position requires a strong background in information security and application security, along with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Information Security Engineering.
• Provide hands-on technical support for Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platform.
• Drive vendor accountability to address product defects.
• Support patching and upgrade testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Application Security Champions, development team members, and offshore partners.
• Ensure documentation is current and reflects process changes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent.
• 4+ years of application security experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile and Atlassian products such as Jira/Confluence or equivalent.
• Good understanding of OWASP top 10.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technology integration issues.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of cloud experience.
• 3+ years of scripting experience - Python.
• 2+ years of SQL experience.
