About the position

The Checkmarx Application Support Engineer role is a long-term contract position within a well-known financial services company. The engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for the Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platform, collaborating with various teams to address information security challenges, and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work with a leading institution that values customer satisfaction and innovation in the financial sector.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Information Security Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Information Security Engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Information Security Engineering.
• Provide hands-on technical support for Checkmarx and Checkmarx ONE platform.
• Drive vendor accountability to address product defects.
• Support patching and upgrade testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Application Security Champions, development team members, and offshore partners.
• Ensure documentation is current and reflects process changes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• 4+ years of application security experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile and Atlassian products such as Jira/Confluence or equivalent.
• Good understanding of OWASP top 10.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technology integration issues.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of cloud experience.
• 3+ years of scripting experience - Python.
• 2+ years of SQL experience.
