The Cheese Shop Clerk position at King Soopers involves creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while maintaining a safe and clean environment. The clerk will work closely with the Deli/Bakery team to engage customers and promote the company's core values.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return.
• Assist department manager in achieving sales and profit goals for the department.
• Monitor and control established quality assurance standards.
• Work closely with the Deli/Baker Merchandising team to create an engaging environment for customers.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Comparable retail experience.

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
• Ability to respond to customer inquiries and make product suggestions.
• Experience in offering product samples to customers.
• Familiarity with checking product quality and freshness.
