About the position

The Chef de Cuisine at The Smith is responsible for leading the culinary team and maintaining the restaurant's culinary vision. The Chef de Cuisine will also be involved in hiring decisions and maintaining the integrity of the restaurant's culture.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and maintain Corner Table Restaurants culinary vision.
  • Oversee and direct all kitchen teams.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements.
  • Make all final hiring decisions for the back of house.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies.
  • Manage labor and kitchen waste.
  • Train values and maintain the integrity of the culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working as an Executive Sous Chef in high volume restaurants.
  • Exemplify the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
  • Highly confident in abilities and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry.
