About the position

The Chemical Dose Assessment/Consequence Engineer will be responsible for performing chemical dose assessments and consequence calculations at the Urenco USA National Enrichment Facility. This role supports nuclear criticality safety analyses and evaluations, contributing to the design safety program for operational activities and future projects. The engineer will engage in facility walkdowns, group training, and process hazard analyses, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Chemical Dose Assessment/Consequence Calculations.
  • Support Nuclear Criticality Safety Analyses and Evaluations.
  • Contribute to the design safety program for operational activities and future projects.
  • Participate in facility walkdowns and group training activities.
  • Support process hazards analyses and perform Integrated Safety Analysis impact evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred).
  • Experience in Chemical Dose Assessment/Consequence calculations.
  • Proficiency in modeling software such as RASCAL or ALOHA.
  • Experience with documented safety analyses (DOE-STD-3009) or Integrated Safety Analysis (10 CFR 70).
