About the position

The Chemical Engineer Intern position at Olin Corporation offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing processes. Interns will work closely with maintenance and production teams to develop and implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and support capital projects. This role is designed for undergraduate students majoring in Chemical Engineering, providing a pathway to grow within the company and potentially transition to full-time roles after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside maintenance and production to develop and implement new or improved chemical manufacturing processes
• Assist with troubleshooting, gathering and analyzing data
• Serve as engineering representative on small capital projects
• Justify, specify, obtain approval, order and install processes and equipment
• Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement / Lean manufacturing initiatives

Requirements

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree program
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Completed sophomore year prior to first assignment
• Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) May - August 2025
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
• Able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
• Valid US Driver's license

Nice-to-haves

• Preference for students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location
• Availability and desire to work a minimum of three terms with no more than one occurring over the summer
