About the position

The Chemical Engineering Intern at Cretex Medical will play a crucial role in supporting the chemical engineering department by providing technical assistance on various projects. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. The intern will be involved in projects from the initial scope definition phase through to implementation, ensuring that they gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. The position is based in Dassel, MN, and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week on-site. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with internal customers, providing technical support that is essential for the success of manufacturing processes. They will assist in implementing process and design improvements, which will not only enhance their understanding of chemical engineering principles but also contribute to the overall efficiency of the operations at Cretex Medical. The role also includes performing various work-related duties as assigned, allowing interns to gain a broad perspective of the company's operations. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated software application skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring devices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working relationships with suppliers and coworkers.
  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
