About the position

The Mechanical Engineer Co-op position at Chemours offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a chemical plant environment. This role is designed for individuals pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while working closely with the Manufacturing Technology team.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvement plans
• Conducting failure analysis investigations
• Participating in process safety management activities
• Contributing to team meetings and conference calls

Requirements

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Nice-to-haves

• Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
• 3.2 GPA or above
• Enthusiasm for working in a chemical plant environment
