About the position

The Chemical Engineer Co-op position at Chemours offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a chemical plant environment. The co-op will involve real-time engineering work, troubleshooting, and participation in process safety management activities, contributing to the overall mission of Chemours to create a better world through chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects.
• Assist operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
• Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.

Requirements

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom.
• 3.0 GPA or above.
