Chemical Engineer

About the position

The current opportunity is an entry-level position, which involves handling multiple projects accurately and on a time-sensitive basis. Principals of Color Measurement Technology, Materials Science, ASTM Standard Specifications, and Historic Preservation Guidelines are applied in the pursuit of high-quality, durable, and compatible solutions to various building restoration challenges.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple projects accurately and on a time-sensitive basis.
• Apply principles of Color Measurement Technology, Materials Science, ASTM Standard Specifications, and Historic Preservation Guidelines.
• Create and test experiments to solve problems.
• Maintain meticulous record-keeping and documentation.
• Utilize computer skills, including Excel, MS Word, and Photoshop; experience with Color Measurement and Communication software is a plus.
• Perform basic laboratory skills with accuracy in bench-top procedures and documentation.

• Lab etiquette
• Basic knowledge of chemical engineering (color customization is ideal but not required)
• Great problem-solving skills
• Ability to create and test experiments
• Meticulous record-keeping and documentation skills
• Efficient multi-tasking capabilities
• Normal color vision
• Computer skills, including Excel, MS Word, and Photoshop

Nice-to-haves

• A 4-year degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or Historic Preservation
• Experience with Color Measurement and Communication software is a plus
