About the position

This Process / Production Engineering role is essential for supporting plant unit operations within a global chemical production team. The position focuses on continuous improvements, process and product startups, and adherence to EHS/PSM regulations, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.

Responsibilities

• Involved in day to day production support for the batch/continuous chemical operations including troubleshooting and problem solving of process/equipment issues.
• Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances.
• Handle process improvement projects.
• Manage continuous improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Support process downtime and runtime.
• Involved with production and material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• Implement change management processes including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, SQC.
• Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions (safety, quality, production, reliability, etc.).
• Assist with Training of Operations Teams.

Requirements

• BS Chemical Engineering degree with 8+ years experience as Process/Production Engineer/Leader in PSM/chemical operating plants.
• Preferred experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PHA, MOC, P&IDs.
• Familiar with process unit operations and Controls; reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, heat treatment.
• Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
