Trillium Professional is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer for a direct-hire placement opportunity. The successful candidate will be a passionate professional with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. An advanced degree is desirable but not mandatory. The role requires strong chemical engineering research and development capabilities, with a focus on innovative solutions to technically challenging problems. Candidates should have experience in product and/or process development environments, particularly in industrial applications involving energetics, pharmaceuticals, batteries/energy storage, or other contemporary industrial processes. The Chemical Engineer will be responsible for the development of advanced acoustic mixing technology and equipment. This includes evaluating issues related to mixing, mass transport, heat transfer, scaling, process control, and process optimization. The research and development work will encompass batch, continuous-batch, and continuous mixing processes. Familiarity with various designs of mixing processes, including solid-solid, liquid-solid, and liquid-liquid systems, is essential. The candidate will take ownership of assigned projects from inception to completion, generating project requirements to resolve product/process problems and support the development of new products/processes. In this role, the Chemical Engineer will initiate technical investigations, prepare protocols, and apply advanced chemical engineering theories, methods, and research techniques to solve complex problems. Responsibilities also include writing reaction protocols, research reports, preparing grant proposals, and presenting work to various stakeholders, including customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators.
