About the position

The Chemical Engineer position at GP Strategies Corporation involves developing comprehensive training materials for operators and process engineers in the petro-chemical, refinery, and pipeline industries. The role requires proficiency in various software systems to create effective training modules and the ability to conduct classroom training on advanced distillation and basic process technology. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and engineering solutions to support client work scopes.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive training material for operators and process engineers.
• Create process drawings, flow and process control descriptions, and equipment training materials.
• Design and develop site-specific training materials for operators and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct classroom training for advanced distillation and basic process technology.
• Develop training packages for Operator Training Simulators in conjunction with UOP and Honeywell.
• Troubleshoot training-related issues for board operators.
• Engineer solutions to support various client work scopes.

Requirements

• Strong background and experience in training board operators.
• Proficiency in MS Visio, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Storyline 360, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT, and MS Outlook.
• Experience in developing training materials for the petro-chemical, refinery, and pipeline industries.
