About the position

As a Full-Time Chemical Engineer at PTI Technologies, you will play a critical role in managing tasks and projects that directly impact our CAD/PAD Product Line in the aerospace sector. This position involves designing and developing innovative products, creating and operating energetic material processes critical to defense-aerospace pyrotechnic devices, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to a safe and high-performance work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative products for the CAD/PAD Product Line.
  • Create and operate energetic material processes for defense-aerospace pyrotechnic devices.
  • Act as a liaison with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Prepare design review materials and test plans for Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
  • Conduct technical compliance reviews, failure analyses, and various forms of engineering analyses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of engineering experience, especially in energetic material processing.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on design experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic components.
  • Proficiency in interpreting test data and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Solidworks, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Aerospace and Military standards.
  • Experience with production assembly and test.
  • Familiarity with production and test documents.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) using Enovia, TeamCenter, or Windchill.
