About the position

As a Full-Time Chemical Engineer at PTI Technologies, you will engage in the aerospace sector, focusing on the CAD/PAD Product Line. Your role will involve designing and developing innovative products, managing energetic material processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to a safe and high-performance work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative products for the CAD/PAD Product Line.
• Create and operate energetic material processes critical to defense-aerospace pyrotechnic devices.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Prepare design review materials and test plans for Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
• Conduct technical compliance reviews, failure analyses, and various engineering analyses.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of engineering experience, particularly in energetic material processing.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on design experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Proficiency in interpreting test data and drawing logical conclusions.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as Solidworks, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Aerospace and Military standards.
• Experience with production assembly and testing.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) using Enovia, TeamCenter, or Windchill.
• Understanding of machining and machine shop practices.
