About the position

The position involves providing air permitting and compliance support to clients in various industries such as fuels, mining, manufacturing, and power. The role requires a combination of technical expertise and regulatory knowledge to help clients maintain compliance with environmental regulations while optimizing their operations. Responsibilities include interpreting regulations, calculating emissions, preparing compliance documents, and potentially providing on-site support, which may involve travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide air permitting and compliance support to clients in fuels, mining, manufacturing, and power sectors.
• Read and interpret environmental regulations and permits.
• Calculate emissions and prepare routine compliance submittals.
• Write regulatory and technical analysis memos.
• Develop compliance tools to assist clients in meeting regulatory requirements.
• Compile permit applications for clients.
• Support clients on-site, which may require out-of-town travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a related engineering degree.
• Three or more years of post-college professional experience in industry, an environmental agency, or environmental consulting.
• Experience working with regulations and environmental permitting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel and adjust personal schedule for project needs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
