About the position

The position involves working on various environmental consulting projects, primarily focused on the oil and gas industry. The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills to assist clients with air program regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include compliance assistance, data entry, regulatory analysis, report writing, and client support, with potential for out-of-town travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with compliance and regulatory requirements related to air programs.
  • Perform mass balance calculations and emission inventories.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot existing systems and processes.
  • Prepare air quality permit applications and related documentation.
  • Provide regulatory assistance and support to clients on-site.
  • Engage in data entry for regulatory and emissions tracking systems.
  • Conduct regulatory and technical analysis to develop solutions for clients.
  • Interface with internal project teams, industry representatives, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Internship or post-college professional experience in industry, an environmental agency, or environmental consulting.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in teams.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets.
  • Willingness to travel and adjust personal schedule for project needs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two or more years of post-college professional experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • High proficiency in data systems and analysis of large datasets.
