About the position
The Chemical Loader position at BASF in Freeport, TX, involves the safe transfer of production materials across various transportation modes. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient unloading of raw materials and loading of finished goods, while also performing rail switching activities and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Responsibilities
- Unloading inbound raw materials and loading outbound finished goods across multiple modes: truck, rail, marine, totes, drums, etc.
- Performing rail switching activities, including operating a railcar mover, groundman for switching activities, operating a rail switch, and crossing guard function.
- Providing troubleshooting of equipment prior to maintenance involvement and identifying when maintenance work is needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent or minimum 5 years of manufacturing related experience in a plant environment.
