About the position

The Chemical/Mechanical Engineering Intern position at Chemours offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a chemical plant while working closely with the Advanced Performance Materials team. This role is designed for students pursuing degrees in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in real-world engineering projects. Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals on various improvement and expansion projects, contributing to the company's mission of using chemistry to create a better world.

Responsibilities

  • Working with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects
  • Assisting operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
  • Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
  • Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
  • Facilitating Management of Change and other Process Safety documentation

Requirements

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar fields
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Nice-to-haves

  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Technical Experience Preferred
