About The Position

This position is in Cargill's food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring critical operating parameters and making necessary adjustments to the process. You will follow batch instructions and procedures while safely handling hazardous chemicals such as caustic soda, sodium metal bisulfite, bis-A resin, epichlorohydrin, and solvents. It is essential to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times. In this role, you will be expected to perform physical job duties, which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely. You will operate machinery and/or industrial equipment, and basic computer skills are required. The position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, and you must be able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, with advance notice. Understanding and communicating in English, both verbally and in writing, is crucial for this role. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting safety risks to ensure a safe working environment.
