The Chemical Process Engineer position at Artazn LLC in Greeneville, TN, is a critical role within the Coinage Department, focusing on the engineering and technical support of manufacturing operations, particularly in Electroplating and Metal Finishing processes. In this role, the engineer will oversee operations, troubleshoot process problems, and schedule line maintenance while providing technical support for all processes within the Coinage Department, which includes electroplating, annealing, and burnishing. The engineer will lead cost improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration with various departments is essential, as the engineer will work with groups to assess existing process capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and evaluate new processes or equipment to meet market demands. Documentation is a key aspect of this role, as the engineer will develop and maintain control plans, work instructions, and inspection forms, while also assisting in training operators. The engineer will coordinate with the EH&S Department to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and will work closely with the Maintenance and Quality Departments to troubleshoot operational issues and ensure product specifications are met. The use of analytical tools such as 8D, 5 Why, FEMA, and Design of Experiments will be integral to improving operations and training Process Technicians. The engineer will also engage with customers and vendors to resolve any issues related to goods and services.
