About the position

The Process Engineer III will oversee the transition of new processes from the Research and Development department to full-scale production at the Tremco Corsicana plant. This role involves determining suitable equipment for new products, managing modifications for production, and leading a significant plant expansion project that will enhance production capabilities. The engineer will also optimize existing processes to maximize yield and minimize cycle times, ensuring safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Manage and commercialize new processes developed by R&D into full-scale production.
• Determine suitable equipment for new products and necessary modifications for production.
• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of a new reactor as part of a major plant expansion.
• Participate in process safety reviews and hazards analysis as a technical representative.
• Propose process modifications to reduce waste and support a LEAN culture.
• Provide process knowledge to troubleshoot quality issues in collaboration with the quality control department.
• Coordinate training of operators on quality-critical product specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify causes of productivity issues and lead efforts to improve productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience in Project Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.
• Knowledge of SAP and basic understanding of Process Control Systems.
• Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting information to management and public groups.
