About the position

The Chemical Process Engineer V position at Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) involves providing engineering support for the Department of Energy at the Y-12 National Security Complex and the Pantex Plant. Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality detailed design packages for engineering projects.
• Provide engineering procurement and field technical support to implement designs.
• Offer expertise for troubleshooting and technical assessments of plant systems.
• Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables including cost estimates and statements of work.
• Create design criteria and title II engineering deliverables such as calculations and construction specifications.
• Work effectively as a team member or technical lead in integrated project teams.
• Perform walk-downs in existing plant facilities to generate design documents and provide field support.
• Participate in chemical design engineering support including feasibility studies and detailed designs.
• Conduct flowsheet development, analyses, and equipment sizing and arrangements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience with 20+ years in the field, or a Master's degree with 19+ years of experience.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must possess DOE Q clearance.
