The Process Engineer will provide leadership and engineering excellence while driving continuous improvement in areas of safety, product quality, product delivery, and product cost through the analysis of plant data and collaboration with Operations and Maintenance personnel and collaboration with internal and external resources. This position is critical in ensuring that the manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and aligned with the company's goals for quality and cost-effectiveness. The Process Engineer will work closely with continuous improvement and transformational activities, supporting visual workplace initiatives, problem-solving skills development, defect and waste reduction, and enhanced workforce engagement. In this role, the Process Engineer will engage the workforce to eliminate at-risk conditions and behaviors on-site, continuously improving the team's environmental, health, and safety performance. The engineer will establish and maintain production procedures, maintenance procedures, process/product control, and test data. Additionally, they will assist in the development of new products and processes, aiming to reduce product lead time through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts on the production line. The Process Engineer will also audit plant activities to ensure compliance while maintaining appropriate documentation. Interaction with vendors for project implementation and proposals will be a key responsibility, as well as leading and assisting in the development and sustainability of 5S practices. Facilitating problem-solving sessions, particularly root cause analysis with corrective action, will be essential, requiring collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and other support organizations. The engineer will collect and analyze process and production data to identify trends and ensure process stability, ensuring quality through the analysis of incoming raw materials, process reliability, in-process testing, and final product certification. Ultimately, the Process Engineer will partner with the organization to drive business success through process and equipment reliability and teamwork, driving variable cost productivity through process improvements, and developing trial plans while monitoring and executing trials to reduce customer complaints through solid root cause and corrective action analysis.
