About the position

As a Chemical Process Engineer at Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc., you will be an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to leveraging innovative ideas and technologies to address recurring production challenges. Your role will primarily focus on leading process improvement initiatives within the Specialty Ceramics, Oxides, and Carbides production cells of our Advanced Materials business. This position offers a balanced mix of office work and hands-on experience on the production floor, allowing you to engage directly with manufacturing processes and personnel. In this capacity, you will support the manufacturing of existing products by applying your technical expertise to enhance uptime, boost productivity, and ensure consistency in process inputs. Collaborating closely with Production Line Managers, you will develop systems for tracking performance data and conducting product analyses, all aimed at driving improvements in overall equipment effectiveness. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting growth projects, providing your technical insights on process and equipment design. A significant aspect of your responsibilities will involve managing the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) software systems, as well as understanding the requirements for domestic and international hazardous goods shipping and communication. This multifaceted role will require you to demonstrate innovative thinking and technical accomplishments, ensuring that safety and efficiency are prioritized in all operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement efforts within the Specialty Ceramics, Oxides, and Carbides production cells.
  • Support the manufacturing of existing products by providing technical know-how to improve uptime and productivity.
  • Develop systems for performance data tracking and product analysis in collaboration with Production Line Managers.
  • Drive improvements towards overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Manage the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) software systems and understand hazardous goods shipping requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise on process and equipment design for growth projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant Engineering degree with experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous working knowledge of ceramics, oxides, and/or carbides manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing or working with Safety Data Sheet software systems and hazardous shipping is preferred.
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking and technical accomplishments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the aerospace, energy, semiconductor, automotive, or industrial industries.
  • Familiarity with advanced materials and surface coatings.
