About the position

The Chemical/Process Engineering Intern position at Jacobs offers an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering to gain hands-on experience in the advanced manufacturing facilities sector. Interns will work alongside professional engineers and designers, contributing to critical projects that address real-world challenges in industries such as electric vehicles, semiconductors, and data centers. This role emphasizes continuous learning and inclusion, allowing interns to bring fresh ideas while supporting the development and maintenance of process designs.

Responsibilities

• Support teams on critical projects related to advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Assist in the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Model complex processes and develop process specifications.
• Ensure design conforms to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Must be at least a rising Junior (currently completing Sophomore year).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Previous relevant internship experience.
