About the position

The Chemical Sales Support Representative role is a 12-month contract position based in Pittsburgh, PA, offering a hybrid work environment. The primary focus of this role is to provide sales and marketing support to the commercial team and independent sales representatives. This includes tasks such as pricing and margin analysis, forecasting, and managing customer service operations. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or science, and proficiency in digital platforms and business software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and marketing support to the commercial team and independent sales reps.
• Conduct pricing and margin analysis, forecasting, and target pipeline analysis.
• Assist the sales team with day-to-day customer service and sales operations tasks.
• Manage LCM/NDA documentation and various technical inquiries.
• Follow up on orders and arrange samples as needed.
• Track payments and request/fill out questionnaires and surveys.
• Vet leads, perform initial quoting, and update records in C4C.
• Support the commercial team with opportunity management, including tracking and reporting.
• Perform SAP tasks such as data mapping and new material/customer setups.
• Monitor and support the growth of small new accounts and transactional accounts.
• Assist with MarComm logistics as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or science.
• Proficiency in digital platforms and business software.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP and running reports and analysis.
• Recent graduates with an engineering or science major are considered.
