About the position

TDA Research, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Technician to support quality control analysis and product/process testing for development projects. The role involves sample handling, application of analytical methods, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure repeatable results. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team and must possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform various research and development tasks in a chemical and analytical laboratory under the direction of a senior scientist
• Execute safe and effective chemical handling techniques
• Follow detailed instructions when performing established experimental methods
• Develop and use analytic methods to identify products and quantify the composition of product mixtures
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in R&D projects
• Analyze data and prepare experimental and quality control reports
• Create safety documents and submit documentation for safety approval
• Keep detailed records
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry
• Excellent chemical hygiene
• Experience with wet chemistry sample preparation techniques including serial dilution
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Strong proficiency with computers and the Microsoft platform (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analytical equipment setup and maintenance
• Chemical process scale-up and large-batch synthetic experience
