About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Chemistry Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting research and development efforts within an industrial laboratory setting. This position involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring quality control of chemical products. The Chemistry Technician will collaborate with scientists and other technicians to contribute to innovative projects that advance our understanding of chemical processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and tests in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Analyze chemical compounds and materials using various laboratory techniques.
  • Assist in the development of new products through research and experimentation.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collect, record, and analyze data accurately using laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning through regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members on scientific research projects, providing insights based on experimental findings.
  • Document all procedures, results, and observations clearly for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to chemistry, including but not limited to titration, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Knowledge of animal physiology as it relates to biochemical processes is a plus.
  • Solid mathematical skills for accurate calculations in experiments and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes within an industrial laboratory environment.
  • Experience with data collection methods and scientific research practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
