About the position

A24 is seeking a Marketing Director for the Cherry Lane Theatre, responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to support the reopening of the historic Off-Broadway theater. The role requires a blend of creative and strategic thinking, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance community engagement and drive ticket sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the marketing strategy, roadmap, and objectives for the reopening of the Cherry Lane Theatre.
  • Build unique, dynamic, and forward-looking marketing plans and creative materials for each individual piece of programming.
  • Oversee the creation of all relevant marketing materials including the website, social media, digital advertising, playbills, and posters in line with CLT brand guidelines and voice.
  • Foster community support to build awareness and buy-in across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with the managing director, programming director, and A24's in-house marketing team, as well as external partners and agencies as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience working in innovative marketing for the arts, ideally in live/performing arts.
  • Excellent creative instincts and design direction skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Ability to think high-level and translate strategy into execution.
  • Knowledge of ticketing strategies and platforms.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Unflappable, solution-oriented team player.
