The Chess After-school Instructor at Nexplore Enrichments is a part-time role focused on teaching chess to students of varying skill levels. Responsibilities

• Implement engaging chess lesson plans for students of varying skill levels.
• Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and communication.
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to enhance students' understanding of chess strategies.
• Encourage participation and teamwork among students during practice sessions and tournaments.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere for both children and adults in the classroom.

Requirements

• AA Degree (or higher)
• 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
• Passion for education and fostering the joy of learning in children
• Experience working with children
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints
• Willing to complete mandatory training

Nice-to-haves

• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Experience in childcare (1 year preferred)
• Experience in teaching (1 year preferred)
• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
