About the position

The CHI IT Project Manager position at the Department of State Health Services involves advanced project management and technical assistance within the Community Health Improvement Division. Responsibilities

  • Manage all CHI IT project activities to establish project goals and objectives, track deliverables, and demonstrate time management skills.
  • Act as a liaison between Programs/Sections, Division Office, IT development teams, and other state entities to oversee projects.
  • Apply project management principles to identify, define, analyze, plan, and justify business/system requirements and processes.
  • Develop project schedules, formulate problem descriptions, devise solutions, and implement modifications to management information systems.
  • Organize, participate in, and lead meetings or work groups, preparing and presenting project communications to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategic planning actions and policy decisions related to automation systems for multiple programmatic areas.

Requirements

  • Advanced project management experience, preferably in IT-related projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex information and make critical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing and presenting project updates to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise initiative and judgment.
