About the position

The Chicago Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of Famous Supply's plumbing and HVAC products within the state of Illinois, focusing on the Chicago metro market. This role involves maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new prospects to enhance sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain regular contact with plumbing and HVAC contractors within assigned territory.
  • Introduce and promote plumbing products to plumbing contractors.
  • Introduce and promote HVAC products to HVAC contractors.
  • Conduct product training as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate territory regarding sales trends, market pricing, and market-specific product needs.
  • Actively participate in customer-specific demand and inventory planning.
  • Conduct on-site inspections as required regarding customer complaints about quality, installation, or performance.
  • Engage regularly with existing customers to foster long-term relationships and promote opportunities for repeat business.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the VP, National Trades.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience and comfort in making cold calls.
  • Strong skill set relating to relationship building, listening, follow-up, and time management.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plumbing and/or HVAC fields.
  • Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
