About the position

The General Manager at Chick-fil-A is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, leading a team of over 70 members, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for guests. This role involves a significant amount of time spent on the restaurant floor during peak hours, as well as strategic planning and team development activities. The General Manager is expected to hold team members accountable, motivate staff, and implement best practices to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Lead and motivate a team of 70+ members and a leadership team of 10+ leaders.
  • Hold team members accountable through meetings, documentation, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor and adjust best practices to meet customer service expectations.
  • Provide positive reinforcement to team members.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Owner/Senior Leadership.
  • Build and execute plans for sales growth.
  • Manage restaurant finances, including supplier payments.
  • Build and manage a Profit & Loss statement.

Requirements

  • 2 years as a Manager in the organization or 3 years of GM experience in a restaurant outside of the organization.
  • 1 year experience as a team member for any Chick-fil-A or 3 years of team member experience at a restaurant with a similar service concept.
  • Experience leading a team of 30+ team members.
