About the position

The Chief Accountant at Metso is responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance department's operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This role involves managing financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow management, and leading the finance team while contributing to the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operation of the accounting and finance department including GL, AP, AR, Fixed asset and taxation.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company travel policy and ensure timely processing of travel and expenses reports.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures for process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and risk assessment.
  • Evaluate financial performance of the company.
  • Track and manage the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and guard against forex exposures.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the company's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Participate in projects related to accounting or new ERP systems and tools implementation.
  • Participate in hiring processes and ensure continuous training and development of the finance team.

Requirements

  • Degree holder, majoring in Accounting, Finance or any related field.
  • 3-5 years proven working experience as Accounting or Finance Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills on SAP ERP and MS Office.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of Indonesia taxation and tax treaty, strong understanding in brevet Cis preferred.
  • Ability to direct and lead the team.
