About the position

The Chief Administrative and Business Officer at New York University serves as a strategic partner to the leadership of the Meyers College of Nursing, overseeing administrative support services and financial stewardship. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with university policies while providing high-quality support to faculty, students, and staff. The position involves collaboration with the Dean and the Chief Financial Officer on financial and budgetary matters, as well as risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead school-wide strategic initiatives that align with the mission of the Meyers College of Nursing and New York University.
  • Oversee general and administrative operations including facilities, IT, human resources, and continuous process improvement.
  • Manage financial and budgetary responsibilities, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management across the college's operations.
  • Administer research activities and support the university's mission as a citizen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and comprehensive knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience in complex strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships and influence outcomes.
