The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is actively seeking a qualified individual with strong team coordination skills to assume the role of Chief Administrative Office Coordinator (Agency Information Security Officer I). This position is crucial in coordinating agency efforts regarding records request denials, information access appeals, risk assessments, business plan development, training compliance, and performance evaluations directed by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The Chief Administrative Office Coordinator will provide support to strategic initiative updates, track and monitor the implementation of division business plans, and ensure compliance with Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA). This role involves performing a variety of security and sensitive records tasks dedicated to safeguarding sensitive information, thereby supporting the role of the Agency's CAO. The responsibilities of this position include ensuring efficient communication and handling of GRAMA appeals within UDOT, monitoring compliance with GRAMA appeals, coordinating CAO reviews of fee waivers or denial of records requests, and developing standard procedures for appeal-related briefings for the CAO's review. The Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating legal counsel hearings and appeals as needed regarding GRAMA, managing calendars and scheduling appointments related to appeals activities, and tracking appeal-related milestones. Additionally, the role involves summarizing, logging, and tracking outcomes of appeal processes, developing visual analytics on performance and risk items, and assisting in tracking compliance with agency policies and Utah State Code. The Coordinator will prepare business plan operations analysis and reports, evaluate risk assessments, and make recommendations for training or improvements, while also supporting business plan development for Technology and Innovation Divisions and measuring division improvements and accomplishments.
