The Chief Administrative Officer, Ambulatory Care Services of Cook County Health (CCH) is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all ambulatory clinical and business operations within the CCH Ambulatory Care Services. This position entails the coordination of primary care, specialty care, behavioral health care, oral health, and ambulatory care across various community, school-based, and regional outpatient settings, including John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, Provident Hospital, and the Core Center. The Chief Administrative Officer will lead the department of patient access, patient referrals, and patient transportation, ensuring that all operations align with applicable accreditations, laws, and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures established by the Board, Hospital Staff, and Medical Staff, including those set forth by accrediting bodies such as the Joint Commission. In this role, the Chief Administrative Officer will be an integral member of the CCH Leadership team, supporting the CEO in evaluating strategic opportunities and managing strategic partnerships. The position requires a strong focus on developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies for CCH's Ambulatory Care Services and Ambulatory Procedures, ensuring the achievement of both long-term and short-term performance goals. The Chief Administrative Officer will foster a culture centered on high-quality, safe healthcare, service excellence, and regulatory compliance, while also building a patient-centered and employee-supported environment that emphasizes operational excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be responsible for the management of CCH staff, contributing to the systemic development and success of the organization. This includes discussing and developing CCH system policies and procedures, utilizing independent judgment to address operational staffing issues, and ensuring effective utilization of human resources. The role involves monitoring budget and financial performance, leading the development and implementation of operational and capital budgets, and resolving issues related to staffing and resource utilization. Additionally, the Chief Administrative Officer will work closely with nursing and medical staff leadership to organize care that meets patient expectations and promotes staff engagement, while also ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
