About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Group at Bank of America is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of capabilities for clients globally. This includes functions such as Public Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Workforce Development, Arts & Heritage, Global Corporate Communications, External Communications, Global Corporate Security, Executive Protection, and Enterprise Services. The CAO group operates within a culture of accountability and compliance, ensuring that all employees adhere to relevant laws, regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies. As a Summer Analyst, you will participate in a 10-week internship program designed to introduce you to the workings of Bank of America and the CAO organization. This program aims to build upon your academic foundation, enhancing your technical skills, industry knowledge, and familiarity with a corporate environment while allowing you to pursue your career interests. The internship program includes extensive formal training at the start, on-the-job support, mentorship, and various events throughout the summer. Interns will engage in Bank trainings covering topics such as Mechanics of the Bank, Data Literacy, and Executive Ready Presentations. Additionally, there will be opportunities for networking, community service, and participation in a mentorship program. Interns will be assigned to one team within the CAO group, where they will support key programs that communicate the brand story and demonstrate the value of the franchise. Responsibilities may include measuring performance, conducting business reviews, identifying opportunities for process design and risk mitigation, and assisting with internal and corporate communications. Internship opportunities span various CAO teams, including Business Management & Controls, Corporate Events, CSR, Enterprise Services, Global Corporate Communications, Global Environmental Group, Global Public Policy, Local Markets Organization, and Workforce Development. Team assignments will be based on business needs and aligned with the interns' skill sets, although specific placements cannot be guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting key programs designed to tell the brand story and demonstrate the value of the franchise.
  • Measuring performance and completing business reviews and analysis.
  • Identifying and executing on opportunities for business process design and risk mitigation.
  • Writing and reviewing messaging, assisting with internal and corporate communications, media, and communication strategies.
  • Supporting business needs related to reporting and analysis, special projects, and other key priorities.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Graduation date between November 2025 and August 2026.
  • Common areas of study include Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Environmental Studies, Event Management, International Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, or similar degrees.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and a drive for operational excellence.
  • Commitment to achieving sustainable results.
  • Strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism.
