About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at SELF is a pivotal leadership role focused on optimizing administrative, financial, and operational functions to empower underserved communities through clean energy financing. The CAO will partner with the CEO and executive team to align strategic objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and enhance organizational efficiency while ensuring compliance with nonprofit and CDFI regulations. This role is essential for driving growth, innovation, and meaningful change within the organization and the communities it serves.

Responsibilities

• Optimize administrative, financial, and operational functions of the organization.
• Implement innovative solutions to elevate SELF's impact and sustainability.
• Ensure alignment of strategic objectives across departments in partnership with the CEO and executive team.
• Foster a high-performance culture within the organization.
• Enhance organizational efficiency and ensure compliance with nonprofit and CDFI regulations.
• Expand SELF's footprint in underserved communities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit administration, CDFI, or related sectors.
• Expertise in human resource management, including staff development and performance management.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of fostering cross-departmental collaboration and operational excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of nonprofit and CDFI regulatory requirements, including IRS and SEC regulations.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills.
