The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Dothan Housing plays a crucial role in the executive leadership team, contributing significantly to the organization's mission of developing and strengthening affordable housing opportunities. Dothan Housing is committed to providing affordable housing services through innovative technological approaches, and the CAO will be instrumental in implementing these strategies. The organization has recently merged with the Southeast Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (SEACH) and is recognized as a HUD Continuum of Care (CoC), which enhances its capacity to provide services across the Wiregrass Metro Area, including five counties: Houston, Geneva, Dale, Henry, and Coffee. In this position, the CAO will oversee various departments, including the Resident Services & Engagement Department, Human Resources & Training Department, and workforce development initiatives. The role requires strategic planning and executive leadership oversight for Moving to Work (MTW) initiatives, focusing on economic self-sufficiency, work requirements, mobility programs, and housing counseling and education. The CAO will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the Purpose 2025 and Purpose 20230 strategic plans, utilizing the Rhythm strategic planning software to enhance productivity and performance. Additionally, the CAO will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive grants management plan strategy for various stakeholders, including donors and foundations. The position also involves overseeing organizational development initiatives, change management, staff training, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) programs, all aimed at fostering a high-value organizational culture.
