About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Hendrick Health System is a newly established executive role responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the Employed Physician Group. This position is crucial as the organization seeks to standardize infrastructure and processes across its healthcare system to enhance growth, operations, and financial performance. The CAO will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure that the mission, vision, and values of Hendrick Health are upheld, fostering a supportive environment for physician leaders and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall administrative operations of the Employed Physician Group.
  • Accountable for the growth, operations, and financial results of the physician enterprise.
  • Create and maintain an environment that supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the physicians directly employed by Hendrick Health.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and CMO to implement strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field or business.
  • Experience within a complex health system is preferred.
  • Multi-site experience in healthcare administration.
  • Demonstrated competence with Employed Physician Compensation Model.
  • Experience with Service Line integration.
