About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, and leadership to ensure the organization's resources, processes, and people align with its goals and objectives. The CAO works closely with the executive leadership team to drive efficiency, enhance organizational performance, and create a supportive and effective administrative infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational and strategic needs.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and systems to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align administrative functions with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including HR, facilities management, IT, and compliance.
  • Evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements for smooth operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop administrative staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Manage departmental budgets, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and utilized.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all administrative processes.
  • Mitigate risks by implementing robust controls and monitoring systems.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Represent the administrative function in leadership meetings and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Manage facility operations, including office space planning and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, HR or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational development, compliance standards, and administrative best practices.
  • Recent manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and handling/overseeing accounting functions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
